Gentle Shores

Sands drift, seeking but rest,
From timultious passage, East and West
Dropped upon their brethren there
Gentle shore, We know not where

Blue green mist, upon cheeks caress,
Oceans splendor, its tender kiss
From winds gentle, or savage gale
From far and wide, Earthen gift

'Tis the time, when waves churn, or fold
To the lands of dreamers both young and old
To stare adrift, blankly to horizons end
seeking the future, or remembering when

I know, there is a place, somewhere distant for me
Where a heart awaits,'nieth coconut tree
whispering, words of breathless care
while my kiss, travels, on the winds, there

Unto the depths, on currents strong,
To sing of life, future's song
A dance, melody unheard we share from afar
As this wish, is cast up to compassionate star

Crimson, does sunset, paint the impending night
When many look desperatly, to the stars so bright
Yet 'tis hopeful, in surender we set sail to find
Mountians beyond the shore, ceder and pine

there does the silence give way to a shout
To pass down to the Oceans, to drift about
till a time ,when candle, shall welcome us home
Grain of sand,,,no longer adrift, alone
